During a recent interview with British Vogue, Amal shared that she had secretly arranged “a number of things” for the actor’s birthday, including having some of his friends appear in disguise.
According to the couple, the guests posed as waiters before eventually revealing themselves during the celebration. George reacted with mock concern while recounting the moment, joking that surprising someone at his age can be risky. “It’s a dangerous thing to surprise someone when they turn 65,” the “Ocean’s Eleven” actor said, before adding with a laugh that “you could drop.” He continued the joke by saying he was “still standing, barely” after the reveal.
The conversation soon turned toward family life as the pair discussed raising their 8-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander. George offered comic advice, joking that children should never “mix grain and grape.” At the same time, Amal explained that she hopes their children continue asking questions and “stay curious” about the world around them.
