Nicki Minaj has shown her support for the US President Donald Trump on multiple occasions. And it seems Whoopi Goldberg is not very pleased with it. The actress recently shared her opinion on “The View,” criticizing the reason why the rapper has thrown her support behind the president.

Nicki Minaj took many by surprise when she embraced the MAGA movement in recent months. She even talked about why and how she drifted to being “President’s No. 1 fan.” In a TIME interview published on Wednesday, Minaj explained the series of events that led her to endorse Donald Trump publicly.
However, it seems Whoopi Goldberg is not very pleased with the rapper’s reasoning behind her “political change of heart.” According to Minaj, it was due to “the mix of being disappointed by Democrats like Barack Obama and Gavin Newsom.”
“People have the right to vote for who they want to but you can’t make it this easy to point out the reasons why you may have done it,” Goldberg said on “The View” while reacting to the rapper’s interview. While the host agreed that there might be various factors for the support, she feels, “All of these things has little to do with how his being is affecting all of us.”
Goldberg continued, “We’re all in it together. Doesn’t matter, it’s white women, Black women, it’s Spanish women, it’s white men, it’s gay folks, it’s all these people. He’s hitting farmers, he’s hitting everybody.” She addressed the rapper, saying, “If you’re okay that he’s dismantling a lot of the reason you came to this country, then you do what you need to do.”
Even the show’s co-hosts offered their opinions on the rapper’s support for MAGA. Sunny Hostin believed Minaj is behind MAGA for personal reasons, as her husband and brother are facing legal trouble.
