Actress Amy Schumer continues discussing her health issues, which she has been candid about over the years. She puts a humorous twist on her updates to keep it both light and honest.
The Life & Beth star has spoken about problems with endometriosis and Cushing syndrome. She also recently detailed her weight loss journey, revealing she lost 50 pounds on Mounjaro.
The actress is not “feeling very sexual” after the procedure

Amy most recently talked about issues with a colonoscopy during Dear Media’s Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast event while discussing her weight loss. “I feel happier than I’ve ever been before,” she noted. “I actually had, kind of, a botched colonoscopy, so I’m not feeling very sexual.”
The comedian did not go into detail on what went awry with the routine medical procedure. It is a common test for older individuals that helps diagnose colon cancer and GI issues.
Amy has discussed her struggle with Cushing syndrome, which causes torso weight gain, facial swelling and high blood pressure. It is caused by excess cortisol levels in the body.
In an October 2025 interview with OK!, the Train Wreck star apologized for her slimmer physique. “Sorry for whatever feeling it’s giving you that I lost that weight,” she said. “Sorry to anyone that lets down.” She also admitted to undergoing plastic surgery.
Amy says she’s feeling great and enjoying motherhood. She and husband Chris Fischer have a son, Gene, who turned 7 this month. The couple announced the end of their marriage in December of last year.
She made the announcement on Instagram. “Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years. We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son,” she wrote.
She filed for divorce in January. The couple have been married since 2018.
