The rumors grew even stronger after Lopez publicly called Goldstein the “best kisser” she had ever worked with during interviews promoting the project.
Then Netflix hosted its Upfront event earlier this month, where Lopez and Goldstein posed closely together on the red carpet. In several photos, Goldstein wrapped his arm around Lopez’s waist while she smiled up at him, adding even more fuel to online chatter. Still, insiders now claim the pair are intentionally leaning into the speculation because it benefits the film.
“Jennifer and Brett are not dating or romantically involved at all,” one insider reportedly said. According to the source, both stars find the rumors amusing and have no problem letting the speculation continue while excitement builds around the movie’s release. “They’re going along with it because they’re both excited about Office Romance,” the insider claimed.
The romantic comedy will premiere on Netflix on June 5. Fans became even more invested in the possibility of a real-life romance after resurfaced comments revealed that Goldstein had openly admired Lopez years before they worked together. During a 2018 episode of his podcast, the actor praised her performance in “Hustlers.”
Lopez is still emotionally recovering from her split with Ben Affleck, after she filed for divorce in August 2024. The source said, “Men and dating are not things she’s interested in at all right now. She’s really happy and in a great place, but because of everything she’s gone through, she isn’t wanting to date.”
