Kristen Stewart once again subverted traditional red carpet expectations, stepping out in a see-through Chanel skirt suit at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. The “Spencer” star posed in the ensemble for the “Full Phil” photo call on May 17 at the annual film festival. She added her own touch to the look by opting for vintage sneakers instead of heels.
Kristen Stewart nearly bares it all in a fully see-through Chanel skirt suit at Cannes

Kristen Stewart pulled the skirt suit off the runway, specifically Look 15 from Matthieu Blazy’s Spring 2026 Couture collection for Chanel. The ensemble featured a short-sleeved, collared top paired with a knee-length pencil skirt. Crafted from semi-transparent woven mesh fabric, it was a lightweight take on the House’s iconic tweed skirt suit. The frayed hems on both the shirt and the skirt injected a touch of raw, unpolished edge into the design.
Underneath the top, the “Twilight” star wore a sheer baby pink slip-on, playing with transparent layers. The top featured structured patch pockets on the chest that mirrored the two prominent utility pockets on the skirt’s front. Accented with small jewel buttons, the pockets added a utilitarian edge to the look.
Instead of leaning into the glamor typical of film festival photocalls, Stewart opted for minimalism. She swapped Chanel’s color-blocked heels for lived-in vintage Nike shoes. The black-and-white saddle oxford sneakers featured leather uppers and a touch of color blocking. She accessorized with a few sparkling rings, including the crescent-shaped Lune ring from Chanel.
The 36-year-old actress sported a wet look with her textured pixie cut swept back. Meanwhile, her make-up was fresh-faced and neutral with a glossy nude lip. “Full Phil” is a comedy-drama in which a rich industrialist visits Paris with hopes of reconnecting with his estranged daughter. Besides Kristen Stewart, it also stars Woody Harrelson, Emma Mackey, Charlotte Le Bon, and Tim Heidecker.
