Pete Davidson reportedly responds to girlfriend Elsie Hewitt’s co-parenting claims amid split
Pete Davidson reacts to Elsie Hewitt’s co-parenting claims amid their reported split. Notably, as per PEOPLE, Davidson and Hewitt reportedly split a few months after welcoming their first child.
Hewitt shared a TikTok video on Saturday, May 16, where she hinted that she is raising her daughter by herself. The 30-year-old model said, “That’s not what I’m thinking about right now, because I have a baby to take care of, and I also have to work and make money, and I’m doing it on my own, which is hard.”
In her now-deleted TikTok post, Hewitt insinuated that Davidson allegedly did not participate in raising their daughter and was an absent father. She reportedly liked and replied to several fan comments, subtly shading Davidson.
Moreover, on the same day, Hewitt shared a note on her Instagram Stories, explaining that she is currently looking for assistance in raising her child. The 30-year-old wrote, “I’m currently trying to find an assistant/ mother’s helper/nanny type — basically [a] right-hand person. Apply here if qualified & serious. Only looking at responses with resumes.” She added that it is a paid job and also included her email ID.
However, a source close to Davidson slammed Hewitt’s solo parenting claims. The source told the outlet, “Pete has made himself extremely available and has provided full financial support. Pete is actually covering all Scottie costs and more. He is hoping Elsie has good health and success for the sake of their daughter.”
A couple of days back, a source exclusively revealed to PEOPLE that Davidson and Hewitt had decided to split. The source shared, “They’re not getting along right now. They were already struggling a bit while Elsie was pregnant. Things just happened so quickly between them, and they didn’t know each other very well.” The source added that the couple was “trying to work through” things and see how they would be “able to co-parent.”
