Brooklyn Beckham did not let the ongoing rift with his parents, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, stop him from wishing his grandfather a happy birthday this week. Taking to Instagram, Brooklyn shared a sweet message of celebration for Victoria’s dad, who recently turned 80.

On May 18, Brooklyn shared a photo of himself and his granddad on his Instagram Story. “Happy 80th birthday papa,” he captioned it, adding a kiss, a red heart emoji, and a celebratory GIF. “I love you so much,” he continued.
Brooklyn’s Story went live just hours after Victoria shared a post of her own … and revealed most of the family had got together for a party. “Such an amazing night celebrating my wonderful dad,” she said in the caption. “Thank you to all our friends and family, we love you so much!!”
The carousel of images included photos of Victoria and David’s other three children, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper. Romeo’s girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, was also featured in the pictures, along with other family members. Notably, Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, were missing.
Things have been frosty between Brooklyn and his parents for some time, but it peaked earlier this year when he posted a string of allegations against them on social media. Across a series of Instagram posts, he accused his parents of prioritizing the Beckham brand above all else. He also described his family as “performative” and “inauthentic,” and even accused his mom of trying to ruin his wedding.
Since then, David and Victoria have avoided commenting directly on Brooklyn’s accusations, but she recently spoke out about trying to be the best parent possible. Meanwhile, an insider suggested Victoria is “absolutely in pieces” behind closed doors.
