Unlike some of her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars, Lisa Rinna is not a Republican. While she has always made her liberal political stance pretty clear, the actor slash reality TV legend has just cemented that by likening Donald Trump to Hitler.
Lisa Rinna doesn’t want January 6 “criminals” to be compensated
To recap, earlier this week, the Justice Department announced the launch of the billion-dollar Anti-Weaponization Fund. As part of that fund, some January 6 rioters may receive financial compensation – a decision that has divided Americans.
Commenting on exactly that, former RHOBH icon Lisa took to her Instagram Story on Monday. “How do you feel about Trump taking $1.7 billion of taxpayer money, OUR money, to pay the criminals from January 6?” she wrote.
Adding to that, Lisa accused Trump of using the fund to pay “whoever he wants, however he wants.”
“Actually, Hitler and Mussolini did it to pay their private armies,” she went on. “I think that’s what’s going on here … just sayin’.”
Previously, Lisa revealed she was forced to stop posting about politics on social media due to backlash. “I am sad to report it would now seem I can’t use my platform to inform or question or say how I feel politically because the Karens have bombarded QVC begging them to fire me and saying they will no longer buy my clothes,” she said on her Instagram Story in 2020.
“It is a shame that I must be muzzled in order to support my family, but that is just what it is. Remember, you know how I feel,” she continued. “I will be on the right side of history and in the end, THAT IS WHAT MATTERS MOST.”
