Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke’s split may not have come as a surprise to long-time Summer House viewers. Their financial set-up, though? Well, that’s a different story.
In the premiere of In The City, Amanda confessed that she recently had to pay her estranged husband six figures in back-dated rent.
The former couple are appearing in new Bravo show, In The City

In Episode 1 of In The City, Amanda and co-star Lindsay Hubbard went grocery shopping together. During their meet-up, the pair discussed Amanda and Kyle’s marriage issues, which included their living arrangement.
“He has a spreadsheet of all this money that I owed him,” Amanda explained. “So now it’s paying him in all these lump sums.”
“I already paid it. No sweat off my back,” Amanda nonchalantly added of the $117,000 in “back rent” she owed her ex. “We’re good.”
Later in the episode, Lindsay shared that intel with some of her other castmates. Honestly, who can blame a girl for spilling a bit of tea?
“Amanda didn’t pay rent for the last three years,” she told her friends over drinks. “So then he tallied it all up and charged her last week. I sh*t you not.”
Given how open Kyle has been of late about his money troubles, it’s no wonder he’s kept such a close eye on what Amanda owes him. Throughout Summer House Season 10, he made no secret of how much of his own money was on the line with his drinks brand, Loverboy. And, in In The City’s opening episode, he delved into that further.
“I’m basically on the financial brink of disaster,” he said. “That’s one of the reasons why I started DJing: to pay the bills. If I don’t find a partner, either to buy Loverboy or take on our operations, we will go out of business by the end of this year.”
In The City continues on Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the following day.
