As the preview for Below Deck Down Under Season 4 Episode 17 teases, there’s about to be a “battle of two very big egos” onboard. This battle could “be detrimental” for everyone, João Franco fears. With only two episodes left, we can only hope that João is wrong, while realizing that, unfortunately, he likely isn’t.
Ben Robinson and Daisy Kelliher are at each other’s throats
Every week, Daisy Kelliher communicates with Ben Robinson. However, Ben often disregards her words. So, consider us not shocked when her most recent piece of advice for Ben fell on hardened ears.
During Episode 16, Ben asked Daisy to fillet eight fish at the dinner table. Daisy understandably baulked at this idea. She has to serve dishes, refill every drink, and clear the table, all while her team starts turndown service. Nevertheless, Ben made her do it, and Episode 16 ended on a rather awkward note, with Ben realizing that, yet again, Daisy was right.
Except, as the preview for Episode 17 shows, Ben (seemingly) realized nothing. Instead, Ben is complaining, since he has to help Daisy fillet eight fish. Just as she called it, Daisy gets called away to refill a drink, leaving Ben claiming in his confessional, “Daisy does not even have my back. She’s not even here.”
Ben next complains to Elena “Ellie” Dubaich, his chef assistant, who has his back at all times, mostly because she loathes Daisy. João overhears, and several beats later, he has a chat with Daisy. After Daisy vents about all things Ben and Ellie, João says in his confessional, “Usually, people take the path of least resistance with Ben,” but “Daisy doesn’t go for that path.”
Instead, João continues, “She goes for a head-on clash. She does not like losing. It’s a battle of two very big egos.” And, he ends, “The battle between both of them can be detrimental to all of us.”
Below Deck Down Under is streaming on Peacock. BDDU airs on Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo.
