Amazon founder and billionaire Jeff Bezos heaped unexpected praise on President Donald Trump in a CNBC interview, stating that Trump is “a more mature, more disciplined version of himself than he was in his first term.”
Known for his explosive tantrums and using unsavory remarks for journalists, Donald Trump 2.0 seems to have found an ally with Bezos.

“Trump has lots of good ideas. He’s been right about a lot of things. You have to give him credit where credit is due,” Bezos said, claiming that he is completely non-partisan and has helped both Obama and Biden during their terms, adding that he still calls Obama for advice.
Bezos vehemently negates the interviewee’s suggestion that he produced “Melania” in order to “placate” Trump to safeguard his huge business assets. In fact, the billionaire insisted that “I’m on the side of America, and that’s where business leaders should be.”
With this declaration against allegations of foul play, Bezos attempted to shoot down claims that he had personally arranged a deal at Mar-a-Lago to produce the film, calling it a “falsehood that will not die.” He defended the project as a highly successful “business decision.”
Bezos has reportedly scoffed at the question of taxing millionaires, saying that it’s not going to help some teacher in Queens. This comment comes shortly after Amazon workers projected a viral video of an employee on to his multi-million dollar Manhattan penthouse, fiercely warning the billionaire, “If we built it, we can tear it down.”
Bezos’s unwarranted praise of the president is a direct pivot from Trump’s first term in office, where the two frequently clashed over corporate taxation, Amazon’s shipping rates, and critical coverage of the administration from The Washington Post, which Bezos owns.
