The late-night talk show host ridiculed Trump over the said poster, jokingly stating that the undercover spy’s numerical moniker actually represented the president’s approval rating.

On the May 18 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the titular host relentlessly trolled Donald Trump and the White House for showcasing the former as James Bond in a morphed poster amid ongoing auditions for the part.
“The White House jumped on the crazy train and posted this, suggesting that Trump would be the next James Bond,” Kimmel announced as he displayed Donald Trump’s 007 poster, which came with the tagline ‘Make America Great Again.’ “Grab ’em by the Octopussy, we got a new James Bond in town!” the comedian remarked as he alluded to one of the most infamous lines relayed by the president.
Kimmel then doubled down on his Trump roasts, adding, “I think 007 is his approval rating right now. Imagine a very unpopular president, in the middle of a very unpopular war, the cost of everything is skyrocketing, gas is very expensive, and you are spending your time posting online about how hot you are, how you captured an alien, and how you should be the next James Bond.”
In addition to mocking Donald Trump over the absurd 007 poster, Kimmel also made fun of the president’s social media spree over the weekend, which included a slew of unusual AI-generated pictures, including one featuring a handcuffed alien. “Well, at least he wasn’t golfing through the war again, I guess. Oh, he was? Oh yes, he was. When he wasn’t posting himself off over the weekend, Unhappy Gilmore was golfing again,” the 58-year-old artist quipped.
