The “Selling Sunset” star Chrishell Stause recently weighed in on Katharine McPhee’s public support of Spencer Pratt’s Los Angeles mayoral campaign. She used a viral TikTok discussion as an opportunity to share some pointed thoughts.
The comments quickly grabbed attention online. This adds fuel to the lively conversation about reality TV stars, politics, and a few famous past relationships.
Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause shares her take on Katharine McPhee’s questionable picker
The social media exchange began after content creator Jordy Cray posted a TikTok video revisiting Katharine McPhee’s dating history and past controversies.
The video touched on several headline-making moments. This includes McPhee’s marriage to music producer David Foster, who is 35 years her senior. The TikTok video also talked about her widely publicized 2013 cheating scandal involving “Smash” director Michael Morris. At the time, both McPhee and Morris were married to other people.
While discussing the video in the comments section, Stause offered a blunt assessment. “One day she will find her real inner confidence but it won’t come until after she is disregarded enough times by the problematic men she backs,” the reality star wrote.
As per Page Six, she followed that up with an even sharper remark: “An insecure woman will steal your man, and give the worst advice.”
The comments arrived shortly after McPhee publicly backed fellow reality TV personality Spencer Pratt in his campaign for Los Angeles mayor. Earlier this month, McPhee and Foster hosted a fundraiser for Pratt at their Brentwood Park home.
During the event, McPhee performed a playful version of Tina Turner’s hit “The Best,” while Foster accompanied her on piano. The lyrics were altered to praise Pratt and poke fun at current Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and City Council member Nithya Raman.
Stause has made it clear she isn’t sold on the idea of another reality television personality entering politics. In April, she posted on Threads, “Can I please implore NO MORE reality star politicians PLEASE!” She further noted that she enjoys Pratt as a television personality and stressed that she does not support him stepping into government.
