I keep a list of least favorite husbands on Real Housewives. It grows longer and longer every year. David Foster’s been on it for a while and it’s not just because he left Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Yolanda Hadid at the height of her illness. It’s because he’s a narcissistic jerk that doesn’t want guests to have fun at parties as much as he wants them to fawn over his performance skills. Also – check out his documentary (actually don’t), it’s filled with revisionist history to make him look better.
David’s been married five times. His most recent marriage is to American Idol alum, Katharine McPhee. He’s 71 and she’s 36. That’s the same age difference between my father and me, but oh well, this is Hollywood! I’m sure this marriage is the one that will last.
Their rep confirmed to Page Six that Katharine and David have welcomed a baby boy into to the world. Ka-ching, Katharine! This is David’s sixth kid and Katharine’s first child. “Mom, dad, and son are all doing wonderfully.”
David has five grown daughters ranging from 34 to 50 years old and a bunch of grandchildren. Those grandbabies will have a lot of fun bossing their infant uncle around. But in all seriousness, Katharine and David are the real thing.
“In July 2018, the couple got engaged while vacationing on the Italian island of Capri.” Page Six cites Katharine’s Instagram, gushing over the proposal which happened, “at the top of this mountain in Anacapri.” She joked, “thankfully he didn’t push me off the cliff. He said it was one of the other and in the end he spared me.” The couple who jokes about murdering each other… stays together.
Maybe they’ll have a party to celebrate the little guy (whose name is still unknown). If so, I can picture them both at the piano, singing David’s hits. And shushing the audience.
