Radaronline.com reports that billionaire U.S. President Donald Trump’s personal fortune has increased by 165% following his return to the White House.
His wealth is reportedly driven by his digital assets, cryptocurrency, real estate, and various other investments, prompting critics to call it the most “money-spinning” presidency in American history.
Billionaire Donald Trump has only grown richer amid his second term in the White House
Former reality star Trump’s net worth now stands at an estimated $6.1 billion, according to Forbes, and $7.1 billion according to Bloomberg, despite recent reductions in the values of his media and cryptography holdings.
This immoderate increase in the president’s wealth comes after he entered office for his second term, amid criminal investigations and tax scrutiny.
Since then, all legal cases have fallen away, and his financial holdings have prospered. These include property, digital currencies, licensing deals, and media ventures. “No modern president has jumped so directly from the world of business to the presidency as Donald Trump,” OpenSecrets said in a statement.
They added, “By keeping his assets in a family-managed trust, which he can revoke at any time, Trump and his family are in the unique position to profit directly from his public service.”
Their investigation has also revealed that cryptocurrency seems to be the main driver of his new wealth, “despite the president once dismissing digital currencies as a scam and potentially a disaster waiting to happen.”
Trump is said to own 70% of the family stake and controls billions of $WLFI tokens. The president has also launched $TRUMP memecoin around the time of his inauguration.
His family also seemed to have benefited from the president’s burgeoning wealth. The president’s son, Eric Trump, has reportedly increased his personal net worth to four hundred million, and his wife, Melania Trump, received 70% of a licensing agreement with Amazon.
