The Boys stars react to Elon Musk’s criticism
The Boys stars have shared their take on Elon Musk’s criticism of the series finale. User Kangmin Lee added a screenshot of Homelander and penned a lengthy criticism of the show.
Lee wrote, “The show writers turned Homelander into a Trump analogue, and this is how they choose to end The Boys. This entire show was just a deranged sexual humiliation fantasy projected onto Trump. They can’t even produce a decent superhero parody without injecting their twisted fetishes into every script.” To which Musk responded in one word: “Pathetic.”
Lee replied to Musk’s tweet by stating, “Did they see their ‘parody’ of you? So cringe.” Musk’s tweet caught the attention of creator Eric Kripke, who tweeted, “OMG, this is his review of what The Boys did to Homelander. I’ll never get a better review ever.”
Kripke shared a screenshot of Musk’s tweet on Instagram with the caption: “OMG I’ll never have a better review ever.” The Boys’ stars reacted in favor of Kripke. Antony Starr tweeted multiple laughing emojis. Jack Quaid wrote, “Hahahahahahha.” Colby Minifie also echoed the same sentiment and penned, “Hahahahaaaa.” Simon Pegg joined the party with a boisterous, “Bwahahahahahahhahah!!!” Finally, Valorie Curry commented with multiple clap emojis on the post.
In fact, crew member Stephan Fleet shared, “Hahahaha. We win!” The comment was accompanied by a fire emoji. Several fans joined in and shared their take as well. One user commented, “Loved the finale. Love it even more knowing it pushed all the right buttons with some people.” A second user wrote, “EPIC WIN.” A third user penned, “I don’t think he understands the show. Also hahahahahha.” A fourth user shared, “Congrats on the run, Kripke! And for getting under Musk’s greasy skin.”
