Russell Crowe issued a strict warning to fans outside a Paris hotel, and his reaction quickly sparked strong reactions online. The actor enjoyed the French Open tennis tournament in Paris alongside his girlfriend, Britney Theriot. Meanwhile, he also made headlines for asking fans seeking autographs to stay in line and give him space.

In the now-viral video by TMZ, the 62-year-old can be seen stepping outside a hotel in Paris and addressing a group of people gathered for his autograph. He firmly asked the crowd to stay where they were and not to “push in” on him. He further said, “I’ll come to you,” while using a hand gesture to ask fans to make some space. His final warning came across strongly as he added, “As soon as somebody’s a d***, I’m gone.”

Crowe then asked the crowd if his instructions were clear, and once they agreed, he went on to sign autographs. At the end of the clip, a fan is heard asking him if he could add “Maximus” to the autograph. However, the actor firmly declined.

The actor’s warning to fans, asking them to behave themselves, quickly created a buzz online and divided the internet. Some people felt that he should tone it down and stay humble, comparing him to other celebrities who meet and greet fans more warmly. Meanwhile, others believed that he was justified in setting clear boundaries.
