Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift chose not to attend this year’s AMAs for a particular reason. The MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas hosted the celebrated awards night on Monday, May 25. Despite leading the nominations with eight nods, Swift and her fiancé Kelce skipped the AMAs.

According to Elle, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift skipped the AMAs 2026 to prioritize their relationship. Ever since Swift wrapped the Eras Tour and the promotions of her album The Life of a Showgirl, she has been focusing on her relationship with Kelce. The “Opalite” crooner has been going out with friends, going on dinner dates with Kelce, and attending weddings.
In fact, last weekend, the Grammy winner attended the Cleveland Cavaliers’ game against the New York Knicks with her fiancé on May 23. The pair indulged in sweet PDA and shared a wholesome kiss sometime during the match as well. At one point, Swift fished a stick of gum from her purse and handed it to Kelce, sparking a memefest online.
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on August 26 last year with heartwarming pictures and a heartfelt caption.
Now, as per an exclusive report by Page Six, the pair is all set to tie the knot on July 3 in New York City. Not only that, they have reportedly already distributed “save-the-date” cards among friends and family. However, a report by The Daily Mail tells a different story.
Although The Daily Mail did not comment on the wedding date, the outlet revealed that Swift is very meticulous about the wedding planning. She is reportedly taking extra precautions to make sure no leaks of sensitive details about her upcoming wedding happen in the media.
As per the outlet, “When it comes to the date and location, she wants to avoid anything leaking ahead of time, which is why there are no physical save-the-dates being sent out. She’s also sharing slightly different details with different guests. That way, if any information does surface publicly, it could help identify where the leak came from.”
