Rosie DiMare is firing back at a digital media founder amid an ongoing rumor surrounding her. The Real Housewives of Rhode Island star is calling out Dave Portnoy, who is telling the world about an alleged affair Rosie had with a basketball coach.
On Sunday, the Barstool Sports founder kept on that narrative while suggesting Rosie got money to stay silent. Dave says that’s how Rosie was able to pay for her new house.
Rosie took exception to his words and is speaking her piece.
The RHORI star denies having an affair with Ed Cooley
Rosie has had enough of all the rumors in this matter. On an Instagram video, she tried to set the record straight. She insists that she has “never met Ed Cooley. I have never been in a car with Ed Cooley. I have never had an affair with Ed Cooley. He has never paid me money.”
Ed is the head coach of the Georgetown Hoyas. Rosie insists she has no idea who he is, and he never paid for her new house.
Ed is married to Nurys Cooley, and the couple have two children. In July 2024, Rosie and Rich DiMare tied the knot. “We bought our house ourselves with the money we make at our big grown up job,” Rosie claimed in her video.
Rosie took things further by saying she had never had an affair with anyone. The rumor was that she’d been let go after an apparent relationship with a co-worker came out while serving as a reporter at Providence’s NBC 10 WJAR.
Rosie came with apparent evidence of how she departed the news station. She says her departure followed medical leave. She concluded that none of it was real and that she wouldn’t discuss it further.
For a long time, Dave has shared his blunt opinions about reality stars. In April, he accused Summer House star West Wilson of creating a narrative about him to garner sympathy.
