Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills friend Sheree Zampino is trying to sue the pants off of Will Smith’s former friend, Bilaal Salaam. Sheree and Will were married for three years back in the 90s, but she says his former pal just slandered her during a recent podcast appearance. It’s just the latest in a series of messy events involving Will and Bilaal, and it looks like his lawyers are about to be working overtime.
The lawsuit that’s putting Will Smith back in the headlines
If you didn’t know, Bilaal and Will’s friendship hit a point of no return when Bilaal did an explosive interview, making graphic claims about Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s sex life. He later accused Jada of threatening him in retaliation, and he launched a multimillion-dollar lawsuit. So far, it hasn’t been going in his favor.
In the midst of all of that legal drama, Bilaal appeared on the Tasha K podcast, where he claimed that Will’s ex-wife Sheree had been “sleeping with everyone in Hollywood.” According to TMZ, that prompted Sheree to file a $1 million lawsuit.
In the court docs reviewed by the outlet, Sheree seeks over $1 million in damages. She specifically called out Bilaal’s sitdown with Tasha K, the podcaster who famously lost a massive defamation lawsuit to Cardi B.
In Sheree’s lawsuit, she referenced the social media teaser from Tasha K’s podcast, and she said that Bilaal continued to double down on his claims throughout the interview. Per the court docs, he called her a “whore” multiple times throughout the interview.
Sheree and her lawyers argue that Bilaal’s claims were slanderous and have caused her humiliation, emotional distress, embarrassment, and mental anguish. All of that adds up to $1 million in damages, and of course, she wants him to pay the legal fees, too.
