Victoria and David Beckham might not do many interviews when they talk about their kids in detail, but chatting with Sarah Jossel, the mom of four acknowledged her estranged son, Brooklyn, as she discussed her three sons playing football.
Victoria touched upon family life with David and their four kids. Whether Brooklyn heard the interview or not, she hinted that she still holds the door open and remembers the good years without pretending her eldest son was never part of the family.
Victoria Beckham recalls a sweet memory of sons, including Brooklyn, playing football
Although all four kids are on their side, David and Victoria Beckham have not had an easy year with their eldest son, Brooklyn. The 27-year-old took to Instagram to accuse his parents of controlling him and trying to sabotage his marriage to Nicola Peltz Beckham, and also allegedly blocked his family on social media.
Victoria has mostly kept her public comments careful and measured throughout it. Hence, when she brought up her sons during the interview, every word carried weight as she spoke about how she and David raised their children.
The beauty and fashion icon told “The Beauty Desk” podcast that she and her husband never forced any of their children into a particular path. She went back to a time when the boys were young, and football was a shared language in the Beckham household.
She said, “I mean, when the three boys used to play football, you know, one by one, they decided that that wasn’t for them. And that’s okay.” Furthermore, she added, “There was no pressure. Whatever makes them happy.”
Victoria then added, “That’s all you can do. I just want them to feel fulfilled, and I love how driven they all are.” Additionally, she mentioned how her kids are “not afraid of hard work,” boasting that others call them “sweet, kind, and polite.”
Although she did not single out Brooklyn by name, she did not have to. All three boys — Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz — spent years on the pitch while David cheered from the sidelines, so the memory was warm and included all of them. This was Victoria Beckham’s way of saying she still has her son, Brooklyn, in every memory they shared together.
