In a recent interview with Time magazine, Dana White claimed that Donald Trump’s appearance at an UFC event at Madison Square Garden had disrupted the experience of Joe Biden’s granddaughter. The President and CEO of Ultimate Fighting Championship recalled that Biden’s granddaughter left the event early after hearing about Trump’s arrival.

“I told you a story at Madison Square Garden,” White began…[The] Secret Service had crossed paths. And apparently, Biden’s granddaughter was at the event.”

The UFC CEO added, “And when I found that out, I [told the] Secret Service, I said, ‘Bring her to me. I’d love to meet her and treat her with the respect that…’ And apparently, she had left when she heard that President Trump was coming.”

White did not specify which Madison Square Garden UFC event he alluded to. However, speculations suggest that he could be referring to UFC 309 in November 2024, where Donald Trump made a surprise guest appearance with Elon Musk. Many believe White could also have alluded to UFC 244 in November 2019.

During the interview, White also spoke about the upcoming UFC Freedom 250 event, scheduled to take place on June 14, 2026, on the South Lawn of the White House. The UFC president reiterated that “this event is for all Americans” and is not political.

Whoever is the president of the US is my president,” White stated. “I’m an American. And for me to have the ability to, especially if you look at where we came from as a sport and as a company, to be able to celebrate the 250th birthday of America at the White House on the South Lawn. And this isn’t a political statement.”
