A Love Island alum has been re-arrested by the Metropolitan Police on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. The unidentified man in his 20s, was previously arrested in November 2025. At that time, he was accused of multiple offences, including sexual assault.
A spokesperson for The Metropolitan Police said, “A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. The arrest relates to an ongoing investigation into allegations of sexual assault, stalking, criminal damage and assault. He was arrested at an address on Monday, April 27 and bailed pending further enquiries.”
He is also suspected of threatening to share photographs or videos of a person in an “intimate state.” The suspect was re-arrested at his home after he allegedly attempted to contact a victim.

Fortunately, the man has no connection to the current season of Love Island. However, a source called his second arrest “a real shock – and potentially very bad news for the ex-contestant.”
“There was an investigation going on into very serious offences that he was arrested over last year,” a source told The Sun. In November, the man was released pending further enquiries after his arrest at Gatwick Airport in the United Kingdom.
The show, which is currently in Season 13, has been faced by multiple problems over the years. Earlier this year, Season 4 alum Jack Fincham shared that he had lost millions during his drug addiction and was unable to afford rehab.
Additionally, Love Island has been haunted by a rash of suicides over the years. In 2018, former contestant Sophie Gradon took her own life, as did Mike Thalassitis in 2019. In 2020, former host Caroline Flack also took her own life.
Amid the deaths of so many contestants, concerns have been raised about the quality of post-production well-being support offered by ITV.
Since then, ITV has put in place measure to support contestants throughout their time on the show and afterwards.
Love Island UK is streaming on Hulu, and airs on ITV2 in the UK.
