A small-time actor will be spending the next few decades behind bars. Among the shows Nick Pasqual is known for is How I Met Your Mother (HIMYM), playing an architecture student named Will in a Season 7 episode of the sitcom.
His legal troubles stem from a May 2024 incident when he broke into the home of his girlfriend, Allie Shehorn. He was found guilty of attempted murder, stabbing her 20 times in the disturbing incident. The actor was also convicted of rape, burglary, and domestic violence.

We won’t be seeing Nick on our television screens for a long time. The actor, who also had a small part in Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon, was sentenced to 32 years in jail. Nick’s court case likely wasn’t helped by the fact that he tried to flee the country following the altercation with his girlfriend. He was on his way to Mexico before being arrested at a US Border Patrol checkpoint in Texas.
During the trial, Allie, testified that she “locked the door, and he just started punching holes in that door and broke that open.” District Attorney Nathan Hochman says that Nick’s sentence holds him “accountable for the horrific crimes he committed against someone who once loved and trusted him.”
In a statement through his lawyer to Entertainment Weekly, Nick said the verdict left him sad. He expressed his gratitude to those who supported him throughout the trial. Nick intends to appeal the verdict, saying his focus is on “sobriety, recovery, accountability, and a respectful appellate process moving forward.”
While Nick had some supporters during his trial, that doesn’t appear to be the case for another alleged stabbing suspect. According to reports, few, if any, are supporting Nick Reiner in his murder trial. That includes his siblings, who reportedly cut ties with him. This came after learning Nick was the prime suspect in Hollywood director Rob Reiner and Michele’s deaths. Allie claims her relationship with Nick became abusive before that frightening incident.
