A former reality star is trying to get himself out of a very sticky situation. Chad Ollinger is seeking to have a criminal case against him dismissed. The man who audiences may know from Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch, is facing an allegation of murder on his cellmate.
Chad is hoping the court will dismiss those allegations, but prosecutors aren’t backing down. Officers found his cellmate dead in December 2025. Previously, Chad could not stand trial with an order put out for him to seek mental health treatment.

Chad’s lawyers are fighting hard to get him out of a jam. New court documents obtained by TMZ allege that a violation of their client’s due process rights by the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH) occurred. As such, they believe the murder case is moot. The attorneys claim that Chad should have had a bed within seven days of the order being official.
That deadline has apparently come and gone. In a May 21 filing this year, Chad alleges to have been in jail for 205 days, awaiting a bed and treatment. He insists the 112-day delay violated his due process rights. His lawyer claims the delay “substantially impacts” Chad, who couldn’t meet with his representatives. His legal team insists that Chad is facing a “deterioration in his mental and potentially physical health.” They insist that will continue the longer they prolong Chad’s treatment.
The prosecution is fighting back, saying Chad is “far too violent and dangerous” for ordinary, restorative treatment. They note one report of Chad allegedly smashing a cellmate’s head into a bed frame. He then allegedly strangled him until her died. They believe we should not trust the reality star. A hearing will take place later this month.
Chad has faced his share of legal problems before. He was arrested in November 2024 and booked into jail in February of the next year. That was unrelated to his current issues. He briefly went missing in July. His father, Duane, died of ALS on Tuesday at 68.
