Amanda Batula and West Wilson aren’t the only Summer House stars whose relationship is under a spotlight right now. Danielle Olivera, who was on the show previously and now stars on its spinoff, In The City, has just spoken out about a claim that she was “the other woman” when it comes to Eoin Heavey.
For context, Danielle and Eoin have known each other for years, but their relationship only turned romantic a year ago. Since then, the pair have moved in together, announced they are expecting a baby, and joined the cast of In The City.
The star of In The City speaks of supposed “overlap”
In Episode 2 of In The City, Whitney Fransway and Kenny Martin claimed there was “overlap” between Eoin’s divorce and new romance with Danielle. “I thought she and Eoin had been together a really long time,” Whitney said. To that, her boyfriend implied there was a crossover at the start of Eoin and Danielle’s relationship.
According to Danielle, however, that’s simply not true. Speaking to US Weekly, she said it was hurtful to see her friends make such a claim about her dating life. She also commented on how this may have impacted the opinion of viewers.
“That’s someone in our own friend group saying that,” she said of the “overlap” comment. “I can only imagine what perfect strangers on the internet and watching the show are thinking; that there’s overlap, that there was cheating going on, that I’m the other woman.”
“I’m not that,” Danielle continued defiantly, adding that she hopes Bravo viewers “know” her “enough” to see through it.
“I’d be pretty straight with you if that were the case. And I would explain myself … but there’s no overlap,” she went on. “Yes, he moved into a serious relationship after a serious relationship, but there’s nothing bad about it. There was no sneaking around.”
To that end, Danielle explained she initially kept her romance off social media to “respect” Eoin’s ex. “But I wanted to shout from the rooftops from the minute we knew that this was happening,” she said. “We fell in love very quickly.”
