The highly anticipated UFC Freedom 250 will finally happen on the upcoming Sunday, June 14, and Joe Rogan will be part of the commentary booth. Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik will join Rogan on the broadcast commentary. The podcaster previously expressed his concern about the big event happening at the White House.

A June 7 MMA Junkie report revealed that Joe Rogan will be part of the commentary team at the UFC Freedom 250 event. Jon Anik will serve as the lead commentator, alongside UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier and Rogan. Meanwhile, Din Thomas will serve as a coach-analyst throughout the broadcast, which will stream on Paramount+ for US viewers.

In an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan expressed his concerns about the Freedom 250 fights happening outdoors. “I don’t like the idea of fighting outside at all,” he said. “June, and it’s D.C., and we looked it up last year: The same day was 100 degrees. Hot as f*ck. How about dehydration? The bugs are a big one. How the f*ck are they going to do anything about the bugs?”

The 58-year-old added, “I just don’t think you should compete in a world championship fight in a non-controlled environment. It should be inside an air-conditioned arena. It should be a controlled environment. You wouldn’t ask them to play a world championship basketball game outside in the sun. That would be crazy. You play in a f*cking air-conditioned arena, and that’s how it should be.”

A few months ago, Rogan also voiced his opinions on the timing of the UFC Freedom 250 event in an episode of his podcast. He claimed that it was “crazy” to hold such a big event amid the ongoing tensions between the US and the Middle East. “It sounds crazy. I know it’s going to be very high security and high stress and weird to have a fight at the White House in the middle of a f**ing war.”
