Rep. Lauren Boebert got angry when a reporter asked her about claims of a sexual relationship between her and Rep. Thomas Massie. The 39-year-old reportedly shouted an expletive at a Fox News Digital reporter.
Lauren Boebert dropped the f-word and made a hasty exit when asked about her alleged Thomas Massie relationship
According to People, Boebert told a reporter, “F**k you, first of all,” after being asked about allegations from Cynthia West, Massie’s ex-girlfriend, who claimed an affair between the two representatives. Boebert, who split from her husband, Jayson Boebert, in 2023, later added, “If you’re gonna bring me into this, like, the sexist stuff is like out of control. So there’s your clickbait that you were looking for. I don’t want to talk about anybody’s exes and their crazy s**t that they do.” She later refused to comment on the allegations and left the interview.
West claims, as per Yahoo News, that during her relationship with Massie, he told her he had sex with Boebert within weeks of his wife’s death. She also alleged that Massie later bragged about it.
As per AP, Massie’s wife, Rhonda Massie, died on June 27, 2024. Remembering his wife, Thomas Massie wrote at the time, “Yesterday my high school sweetheart, the love of my life for over 35 years, the loving mother of our 4 children, the smartest, kindest woman I ever knew, my beautiful and wise queen forever, Rhonda, went to Heaven.” He further described, “She was valedictorian at our high school where we went to the Prom together, accepted at MIT and Harvard, earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from MIT, and devoted her life to our family.”
In the interview with Kentucky attorney Marcus Carey, as stated by Fox News, West said Massie first reached out to her on social media in August 2024, and their relationship quickly became “very intense and romantic.” He got her a job in the office of his close ally, Rep. Victoria Spartz. She explained, “He wanted me to go wherever he was.” However, she reportedly ended this relationship after he asked her to engage in certain behavior. Spartz’s office later dismissed her after just six weeks on the job. She alleged that Massie offered her $5,000 to drop a wrongful termination lawsuit she had filed against Rep. Victoria Spartz.
