A Turning Point USA Women’s Leadership Summit in San Antonio was disrupted on June 5 by a protester who appeared to reenact the assassination of founder Charlie Kirk. The conservative organization is now led by Erika Kirk, his wife, following his death at Utah Valley University in September 2025.
Erika Kirk’s Turning Point USA event was marred by a protester reenacting Charlie’s assassination
A video shared on X by Frontlines TPUSA, the conservative group’s account, showed the unidentified individual wearing a papier mâché head resembling podcaster Charlie Kirk and a white T-shirt printed with the word ‘Freedom.’ The 12-second footage shows the person suddenly falling to the ground, appearing to mock the podcaster’s assassination last year, before getting up and walking away casually. The account claimed the person impersonating Charlie was a “radical left-winger.”
According to RadarOnline, another protester shouted, “You are protecting pedophiles. You are protecting Nazis.” Meanwhile, others joined in, yelling, “Deserved to die!”
As Erika Kirk addressed the crowd, a woman interrupted by repeatedly shouting, “Erika Kirk protects pedophiles!” before being removed from the conference hall. In response to the individual, Erika said, “It’s important to remember that happiness comes and goes, and I pray that you find it.”
Turning Point USA contributor Jack Posobiec criticized what happened, as per the Independent. He said, “When people tell you who they are, believe them. The left isn’t out there feeling sorry for the murder of Charlie Kirk; they’re not apologizing for it; they’re out there celebrating it. This is resentment. They hate the fact that Turning Point USA is out there showing young people, specifically, a different path forward.”
“Not from hating their country, from hating men, from hating women, from hating capitalism, from hating innovation, to actually loving their country, building loving families, and that’s exactly why they’re attacking Erika Kirk and our entire team,” added the 41-year-old political activist.
