RFK Jr. Claims Majority of American Kids Are Unable To Qualify for Military

RFK Jr., aka Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has expressed concern that not many American kids can qualify for military service. Kennedy addressed the matter during a press conference on nutrition education on Monday. He described it as “one of the most important course corrections in modern American medicine.” He raised alarm over the current health crisis and rising obesity levels among American children in his speech.

RFK Jr sounds alarm on American kids failing to qualify for military

RFK Jr., aka Robert F. Kennedy, has claimed that many American kids are failing to qualify for the military. Kennedy began his speech by saying, “More than 70 percent of American adults are overweight or obese. A third of teenagers have diabetes or prediabetes.”

“This is not only a public health challenge, it’s a national security issue. About 77 percent of American children can no longer qualify for military service,” the 72-year-old declared. He added, “That’s something that should get everybody’s attention.”

Kennedy continued, “These numbers make one thing clear: we cannot solve the chronic disease burden without addressing nutrition. And that’s why the commitments announced today are so important.” In the United States, citizens must be at least 18 years old to serve in the military.

In a past interview with Fox News, Kennedy stated, “Seventy-four percent of our kids cannot qualify for military service. We have fertility rates that are just spiraling. A teenager today — an American teenager — has less testosterone than a 68-year-old man. Sperm counts are down 50 percent.”

Users had strong reactions on X. One user commented, “Yep, we need to start with school lunch programs, not the military, and our kids’ health. Our children should not fight rich men’s wars. Let them do it alone.”

A second user raised doubts, “Hmm… with all these organized sports that schools have and travel teams, I don’t know where he’s getting his information. Is he using outdated BMI data? Funny how colleges give scholarships to ‘obese’ students who play football, basketball, lacrosse, wrestling, hockey, etc.”

A third user chimed in, “77% of American children can no longer qualify for military service???? A. That sounds totally made up, and B. WTF is he even talking about?”
