Donald Trump bashed “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough after he referred to a new New York Times report that details the Trump administration’s anxious response to news linking the president to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Trump took to Truth Social to accuse Joe of being “one of the most inaccurate detailers of truthful facts on television,” and having “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” even when the show was live.

Preceding Trump’s angry rant, Scarborough was busy reading excerpts from “Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump”, by reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan. Apart from the book, the host also cited a recent New York Times article that details how Trump’s inner circle handled every development of the infamous relationship between the president and the billionaire sex offender.
Scarborough felt that the president had played into his hands by losing it at the mention of Epstein. “Ohhhh, that actually sort of affirms the reporting that this is something you cannot mention around the president of the United States.”
The clash also birthed a Reddit thread where users reacted harshly at Trump’s angry retort. One user said, “I’ll never understand why these MAGAs voted for Epstein’s best friend as President & then expected that same man to release Epstein’s client list,” while another one quipped, “So the Situation Room is for discussion about the Epstein files and war planning is done by group chat or in the golf club behind a curtain.’
This was followed up by a tirade and discussions, with one mocking Trump’s opposition to any news involving him and Epstein, saying, “Oh Donny, no matter how hard you try you’ll never escape your BFF’s ghost.”
Trump and Scarborough have spent nearly a decade trading public insults, with their relationship deteriorating after Scarborough emerged as a prominent critic during Trump’s first presidential term.
