Kate Middleton and Prince William have different takes on son George’s future, per source
As per Closer Online, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s son, George, 12, is preparing to leave Lambrook School. William recently revealed that his son had already experienced a night of boarding there. An insider claimed that there have been “difficult conversations about what happens next.”
The source said, “George’s future as King has become very real.” According to them, William wants his path to the throne to be “as smooth as possible.” However, Kate was reportedly trying “to keep hold of his old life.”
The report notes how the Princess of Wales viewed home life differently from the royal timetable. The source said, “At home, he’s still just George.” The insider added that he loved “being outside” and doing “ordinary kid stuff.”
William, meanwhile, mentioned Charlotte and Louis during a recent radio appearance. He said, “George was boarding last night,” while joking about the morning school run. The Prince of Wales then told his younger children to be on time and avoid “fighting over who listens to what.” Reportedly, Eton College and Oundle School are being discussed as possible next steps for George.
The report also contrasts William’s royal upbringing with Kate’s middle-class background. At 21, William said kingship was something he “was born into.” He added, “It’s my duty.” Meanwhile, Kate is more concerned with giving her kids a “happy home” with simple joys.
According to the outlet’s source, “Kate wants him [George] climbing trees, kicking a football around, and spending summers being a normal kid. She worries that once the royal machine starts, there’s no going back. But William is constantly thinking ahead. He knows exactly what it’s like growing up as the heir, and he strongly believes George needs to be prepared emotionally and mentally.”
