A Donald Trump-aligned PAC, Never Surrender Inc., has sent out an email ahead of the president’s 80th birthday asking supporters to sign what it calls the ‘only official birthday card.’ The fundraising email urged donors to contribute, warning against letting the president’s ‘spirits drop on his special day.’
The card also comes with a paywall, leading every person who “signs” to a recurring campaign contribution page. The email encourages supporters to make weekly or monthly donations to fully submit their signatures.

The accompanying email message reads, “You’ve been invited to sign President Trump’s only official birthday card,” and continues to say, “AND MANY TOP 1% MAGA PATRIOTS SIGNED,” with a direct appeal, “We’re STILL waiting on you…This portal could slam shut at any moment.” Trump has promised to review each signature personally, adding a dose of MAGA validation.
The push comes along with a heavy restructuring of the White House, already a construction nightmare because of Trump’s $400 million ballroom project, for a birthday-special UFC dazzler. Upcoming on June 14 is UFC Freedom 250, coinciding with the larger America 250 celebrations marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The spectacle has not been without its share of controversies, with UFC President Dana White inviting an impressive lineup of celebrities, including Tom Brady. Dwayne Johnson, Adam Sandler, Jason Statham, Jared Leto, and others–most of whom have declined to appear.
The optics for the president’s birthday seem to one-up last year’s multi-million-dollar military parade, which was dampened by rainy weather and empty bleachers, with images of attendees including Marco Rubio and Melania Trump nodding off.
Citizens are left wondering if the card is a political gimmick, a fundraiser, and a loyalty test, all rolled into one.
