Taylor Swift’s Knicks T-Shirt Moment Catches Nicole Kidman’s Attention

Taylor Swift’s New York Knicks T-shirt moment didn’t go unnoticed by Nicole Kidman. It was, after all, a wordplay crafted as a pun on her name. Swift and the Haim sisters honored her in matching custom tribute tees from courtside seats at Madison Square Garden.

How Nicole Kidman responded to Taylor Swift’s Knicks T-shirt shoutout

Nicole Kidman’s reaction to Taylor Swift’s New York Knicks T-shirt tribute was warm and appreciative, showing she noticed the thoughtful shoutout. Swift’s clever tee read “Stevie Knicks” as a play on words. Alana and Este Haim matched her energy in “Knickleback” and “Knickole Kidman” shirts, respectively, while watching the Knicks take down the San Antonio Spurs.

Nicole Kidman took to her Instagram Stories to react to the tribute T-shirts the “Style” singer and the Haim sisters wore. A video shared by E! News highlighted Kidman’s reaction.

The Scarpetta actress reshared a clip of the trio showing off their handmade merch for NBA Finals Game 4. “Right there with you girls!” Kidman wrote, adding basketball and heart emojis. She then reposted the Haim account’s reel of the trio dancing to Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” while showing off their T-shirts. “My girls! I just want to have fun,” she added on the clip.

As for the story behind the viral moment, Alana Haim shared in a Vogue interview that she handcrafted the shirts at home after Taylor Swift pitched the idea.

Additionally, Law & Order: SVU’s Mariska Hargitay, a regular in the courtside seats at Madison Square Garden, coordinated her look with Swift at the game. “I always bring extras, and Taylor really wanted to bring extras so we could give them to friends,” the “Summer Girl” singer added. “And Mariska was so down; she’s such an amazing human being, and I’m such a big fan of her, so the fact that she also wanted to wear one of my shirts was insane. It really bonded us all together.”

The New York Knicks erased a 29-point deficit to stun the San Antonio Spurs 107-106 in Game 4 on June 10, with OG Anunoby’s last-second tip sealing it.
