Donald Trump’s Alleged Reaction to Michelle Obama Slur Revealed

A controversial moment from UFC Freedom 250 generated headlines after fighter Josh Hokit made a remark about former First Lady Michelle Obama during a post-fight interview. The comment quickly sparked backlash online and prompted renewed discussion about the event hosted on the White House South Lawn.

Attention later shifted to President Donald Trump, who was seated ringside during the exchange. While Trump did not publicly respond to the remark, reports claimed cameras captured what appeared to be a brief reaction moments after Hokit made the statement.

CNN says Donald Trump might have shown a “half-smile” after Josh Hokit’s remedial display

The incident unfolded after Hokit defeated Derrick Lewis during the UFC Freedom 250 card. Speaking with commentator Joe Rogan following the victory, Hokit thanked Trump for hosting the event before adding, “And lastly, Michelle Obama is a man. Am I right, America?” during his interview with Joe Rogan.

According to CNN, Trump, who was seated in the front row alongside Melania Trump and UFC CEO Dana White, appeared to show a “half-smile” moments after Hokit made the remark. The network’s observation quickly became a story of its own, with critics questioning whether the president found the joke amusing or was simply reacting to the crowd.

Joe Rogan notably declined to engage with the comment. Instead, he wrapped up the interview by saying, “Ladies and gentlemen, Josh Hokit.”

The moment became even more awkward after Hokit approached Trump ringside and placed a medallion around his neck. According to lip reader Jeremy Freeman, quoted by the Daily Star, Trump appeared to tell the fighter, “Too kind, thank you. You are the champion.”

Notably, there is no public evidence that Trump directly commented on Hokit’s remarks about Michelle Obama. Reports also noted that he later removed the chain. The White House has not publicly commented on the incident either.

Subsequently, the moment became one of the most talked-about scenes from an event already attracting significant attention. UFC Freedom 250 marked the first UFC card ever staged at the White House and was held as part of celebrations tied to America’s 250th anniversary.

The fighter has previously generated controversy for making similar comments about public figures during post-fight interviews. Earlier this year, Hokit drew criticism for remarks about WNBA star Brittney Griner after another victory.
