West Wilson’s 15 minutes of fame may have come to an end. Following the affair with his married Summer House co-star Amanda Batula, sources say he was not asked to return.
Apparently, West was dropped from the show and won’t be present when cameras start shooting Season 11. Summer House traditionally begins filming over the July 4 weekend.
The Bravo star could make a cameo despite not returning full-time
Though he wasn’t asked to return, the insider told TMZ that there’s always a possibility West could make a cameo appearance.
While Kyle and Amanda were still together during Season 10, the cracks in their marriage were evident. And West was noticeably quick to jump to Amanda’s defense during arguments. Understandably, West and Amanda’s announcement that they’re a couple shook the entire cast.
In early March, rumors swirled that the pair were dating, prior to the confirmation on March 31. Complicating the relationship was Amanda’s close friendship with West’s former girlfriend Ciara Miller. In fact, West and Ciara had seemed to be reconnecting during the summer, which only made the news of his and Amanda’s relationship more painful.
After joining the cast in Season 8, West and Ciara’s budding romance was a major storyline. They continued to date for several months following the end of the season, but eventually had a tumultuous breakup. Ciara barely spoke to West during Season 9 and only started talking to him again in Season 10. But the news that he and her BFF Amanda were a thing permanently shattered their friendship.
Fans were keenly aware of the new relationship and watched Season 11 with an eye to discovering clues. The relationship was a hot topic not just during the season, but also at the reunion. Both West and Amanda were grilled relentlessly over the timeline.
