Andrew Tate Case Explodes With New Criminal Allegations

Andrew Tate faces a new wave of allegations from Romanian prosecutors who accuse him of human trafficking and money laundering.

This is a continuation of the legal saga facing Andrew and his brother Tristan Tate since December 2022, when the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime (DIICOT) launched a high-stakes raid on the brothers. They were arrested in Romania alongside two Romanian women and faced allegations related to human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized crime group.

Romanian prosecutors widen the scope of Andrew Tate’s ongoing case

In the following years, the brothers endured raids and police custody on charges ranging from human trafficking and sexual exploitation to illegal financial dealings. In January 2023, DIlCOT seized millions worth of luxury assets, including high-end vehicles, watches, and real estate holdings. Since then, the agency has not given the brothers a moment of peace, what with elevating charges to severe versions.

In a surprising twist in the spring of 2026, Romanian judicial authorities temporarily adjusted the brothers’ strict preventative measures, allowing them to travel within specific legal boundaries while awaiting trial.

As of mid-2026, Romanian prosecutors have expanded their investigation to include charges against the brothers to encompass inciting hatred and discrimination against women through social media podcasts between 2021 and 2024.

The prosecutors have alleged that the brothers recruited a victim for sexual exploitation and later blackmailed her to produce explicit material and participate in incriminating video chats on a specialized platform.

Expanded money laundering charges accuse the Tates of creating two companies where they appeared as administrators to disguise money obtained from human trafficking. Prosecutors allege millions are being transferred to the two companies and used to buy land, buildings, cars, and an apartment block.

The brothers, however, continue to deny all charges piled against them. In fact, their legal team has contested DIICOT’s claims of inappropriate social media material, citing free-speech grounds.
