The two were recently seen at the wedding of their cousin Peter Phillips, which was also attended by William and Kate. However, if sources are to be believed, the royal couple is having a “difficult conversation” about the princesses.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have been the talking point ever since their parents left the palace amid the controversy. Their presence at their cousin Peter Phillips’ wedding caught the attention of everyone as Prince William greeted Beatrice with a kiss on her cheek outside the church. However, sources say things are quite different behind the doors.
William was all “warm and friendly towards the girls when the cameras were around, but privately there had been very little contact for weeks.” Meanwhile, the Princess of Wales “feels desperately sorry for both Eugenie and Beatrice.”
A source told Closer that Middleton realizes that the princesses are “carrying a huge emotional burden.” She even worries about the effect the circumstances might have on the two princesses. The source further added that sisters feel “incredibly isolated by the family” as there hasn’t been much support from either William or King Charles. The princesses understand the pressures the royal family must be facing. However, they reportedly still feel abandoned.
The different views of Waleses are creating “tension” between the royal couple. According to the insider, while “William is much more focused on the monarchy’s reputation,” Middleton is taking a much more humane approach. She has been supportive of the sisters. Naturally, the insider noted that “there have been some difficult conversations behind closed doors.”
Middleton feels that William should protect them, or their lives will be destroyed. And while the future monarch cares about his cousins, he’s far more “cautious about becoming emotionally involved.” Despite this, Middleton has encouraged her husband “to reach out more and show a bit more compassion.”
