Donald Trump goes viral for praising male reporter during G7 summit
Donald Trump recently complimented a male reporter during a meeting at the G7 summit, a moment that has since gone viral on social media.
The moment occurred when Trump and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan were sitting together and taking questions from the media. When an Emirati reporter, Majid AlFarsi of Sky News Arabia, asked his question, Trump praised him for his looks.
Trump noticed the reporter and immediately turned to the UAE President and said to him, “What a nice-looking person. Is he from your country?” Trump continued, “He has such a nice way about him. My people are so mean. Handsome guy.” He also suggested that the reporter could be cast in a movie for his looks. This led to laughter in the room. Commenting on the video, which is circulating on X, one user wrote, “I didn’t realize he was so into how men look and how he talks about good looking men. Interesting.” Another user questioned, “Why’s he so infatuated with young men and their looks?”
This is not the first time Trump has complimented a male reporter in the middle of an event. Earlier this April, while addressing the press outside the White House, Trump commented on the appearance of a male journalist. After the reporter asked him about political parties in the US, Trump said, “I love this question. This is the greatest guy. Look how handsome he is. What a great guy he is” (via Just Jared).
