According to multiple rumors and at least one highly regarded source, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s highly anticipated wedding is almost here. Following their engagement in August 2025, the “English teacher and the gym teacher” began planning their nuptials. And their planning will soon culminate in a massive, multi-million dollar celebration. That is, if all of the current reports are to be believed.
Taylor and Travis are one of the most closely followed love stories of our time. When these two superstars went public with their relationship in 2023, the worlds of pop culture and professional sports immediately collided, setting off a never-ending series of gossip-infused headlines. And when they announced their engagement in August 2025, “Traylor” fans lost their minds, immediately trying to find any Easter egg they could regarding their future wedding plans.
On that, these are the clues that seem to hold the most weight. Whether it’s to do with Taylor and Travis’ wedding date, location, guest list, or something else entirely; here’s what we’ve heard…
Will Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding be at Madison Square Garden?
Melissa Rivers is a frequent flier on the Behind the Velvet Rope podcast. In one recent episode, she made a pretty confident-sounding prediction. Several others have also heralded her projection, but with a slightly different take. Starting with Melissa, she believes that Taylor and Travis’ wedding will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday, July 3, 2026.
According to others, however, Taylor and Travis are getting married in an unknown location. Understandably, a limited number of people will be in attendance when they exchange their vows. Then, these sources allege, Taylor and Travis will head to their wedding reception, and this venue matches Melissa’s claims above: Madison Square Garden. Here, Taylor and Travis will host a much larger party, complete with attendees who signed iron-clad NDAs.
Coincidentally, Madison Square Garden has zero publicly scheduled events listed from June 29 through July 6. Likewise, this multi-purpose indoor arena in Midtown Manhattan can be rented for a minimum of three days. One day is for setup, one day is for the main event, and the last is for teardown. With a rumored wedding date of July 3, these claims are looking pretty strong that something will happen here, be it Taylor and Travis’ wedding ceremony and their reception, or even just their reception, which Taylor is reportedly having a “massive stage” built for.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani dropped some major clues about Taylor and Travis’ wedding date
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is a man of multiple interests. He can discuss narratives from trending reality TV storylines to initiatives aimed at improving the lives of his constituents. But most recently, Mamdani appeared to verify the reports above. Per his words, Taylor and Travis are indeed tying the knot somewhere in his city next month.
As the Independent outlet reported, on Monday, Mamdani spoke at a press conference aimed at discussing his city’s preparedness for the upcoming July 5 World Cup match at MetLife Stadium, which sits just across the Hudson River in East Rutherford, New Jersey. But he also said a bit more than that. As Mamdani revealed, this match just so happens to coincide with a few other “big events” happening nearby that weekend.
“We are the biggest city in the country,” so “We are used to big events, and we are incredibly excited for this one,” he said. “We know it coincides with July 4, America 250, Taylor Swift’s wedding, all happening at the same time,” Mamdani continued. And there it was. Another nod that Taylor and Travis’ wedding might take place somewhere in New York City around the previously reported July 3 date.
But will Mayor Mamdani be in attendance? “No and no,” he laughed. Nevertheless, “I wish them a lovely wedding. I’ll listen to ‘Only the Young’ at home on my own,” he said.
All the Taylor and Travis wedding guest list rumors – and their chosen wedding planner
As for their wedding planner, Taylor and Travis have reportedly hired Mark Seed to help them plan out their special day. Mark “never, ever” talks about his clients, including Taylor’s close friend, Jennifer Lawrence. And now, he is apparently remaining mum once again, working “for months” behind the scenes of the upcoming Swift-Kelce wedding.
Mark excels in architectural design. As one source explained, “He can build something spectacular out of nothing.” For example, Mark constructed a greenhouse for actress and producer Samantha Ressler in 2022. He also built and orchestrated a lavish, multi-day wedding experience for JLo in 2019.
As for what Mark is planning for Taylor and Travis, that part remains unknown. As does their wedding guest list. However, rumors indicate that a solid mix of A-list celebrities and Kansas City Chiefs teammates will be in attendance.
On the celebrity side, there is a high possibility that Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid will appear as bridesmaids. Guest-wise, Cara Delevingne, Suki Waterhouse, Ed Sheeran, the HAIM sisters, and Zoë Kravitz are all expected to attend. Meanwhile, Blake Lively failed to snag an invite. But she and her husband “plan to be out, smiling, and carrying on with their lives” despite this snub, claims a source.
On the sports side, Jason Kelce is clearly attending and standing beside his brother at his wedding. As is Patrick Mahomes, allegedly, with his plus one, Brittany Mahomes, also in attendance. Finally, Andy Reid, the Kansas City Chiefs head coach, has also reportedly made Taylor and Travis’ wedding guest list.
