Kelly Osbourne Slams Online Trolls After Body-Shaming Comments: ‘Mentally Unwell’

Kelly Osbourne is speaking out after months of enduring harsh comments about her appearance online. The television personality and singer says the criticism has reached a level she’s never experienced before, coming during an already difficult chapter of her life.

Over the past year, Kelly has faced the loss of her father, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, alongside major personal changes in her private life. Despite those challenges, she’s continuing to push forward, while making it clear she has little patience left for internet cruelty.

While attending the LAX.BID charity art auction in aid of Mind and The Ricky Hatton Foundation in London on June 18, Kelly opened up about the body-shaming comments that have followed her in recent months.

“I will be honest and say that I’ve never experienced cruelty like it,” Kelly told Us Weekly. “And I don’t think anyone deserves that kind of cruelty.”

Although the former reality star said she tries not to focus on the criticism, she admitted some of the comments have been shocking. “I don’t pay any attention to it,” Kelly explained, before adding, “You have to be very mentally unwell to say the things that people are saying about me.”

Rather than responding with anger, Kelly said she feels sympathy for those posting hateful messages. “I feel sorry for them,” she said as per US Weekly.

The 41-year-old also credited her support system for helping her navigate an incredibly emotional year. Following the death of Ozzy Osbourne in 2025 and her split from fiancé Sid Wilson earlier this year, Kelly said she has leaned heavily on loved ones.

“I have an amazing support system. I have an amazing medical team. I have an amazing family. I have amazing friends … and my son,” she shared. “You never really know what’s going on with someone.”

Kelly previously addressed criticism of her appearance in a December 2025 Instagram Story. At the time, she called out what she described as “disgusting, horrible, mean, rude comments” and questioned why people expected her to look unaffected while grieving.

“What do you expect me to look like right now?” she asked. “The fact that I’m getting out of bed and facing my life and trying to be more than enough, I should be commended for that.”

She also reflected on how losing her father changed her perspective. “It’s taught me that time is the most precious thing we have,” Kelly said.
