Donald Trump accidentally calls Elon Musk ‘Leon’
President Donald Trump, who has been a source of much debate and discussion in the past months, has once again drawn the attention of the internet after accidentally labeling Elon Musk as “Leon.”
The awkward moment came when Trump was showing off the new Air Force One aircraft gifted by Qatar (via RadarOnline). The President unveiled the luxury Boeing jet on June 19, 2026, praising its technological advancements and communications system. Trump went on to discuss integrating Starlink, the satellite internet service owned by Musk, into aircraft.
“We have communication equipment up there that’s nobody’s ever seen before. It’s the highest level, including Starlink, my friend Leon,” Trump said before he quickly corrected himself and continued, “my friend Elon is going to be very happy.”
Though this seemed like a minor slip, the President corrected it immediately. However, it did not save him from the wrath of the internet, which was quick to pile on this mistake. “This is getting out of control. It’s elder abuse, but let’s not get bogged down with details. All of these people need to go in the wood chipper immediately, and nature will start to heal,” one user wrote. “Of course he did because he doesn’t know what he’s talking about half the time,” another user added.
However, some users defended the slip, noting that he corrected himself. “Then he corrected himself without missing a beat. You guys are pathetic,” one user added, for instance. Interestingly, this is not the first time that Trump has called Elon “Leon.” He did the same thing back in 2024 at the Wisconsin Campaign Rally.
