Donald Trump Says He Could Make Chicago ‘Safe in One Month’ Amid Shooting Incident

Donald Trump has commented on the recent shooting incidents that happened in Chicago on Truth Social. Over the past weekend, several shootings took place in Chicago, leaving at least seven dead and 38 injured. These incidents prompted Trump to call for military intervention.

Donald Trump recently took to the Truth Social platform to talk about the recent shooting incidents that took place in Chicago.

The city was recently rocked by a shooting in the Princeton Park neighborhood. According to a report by NBC Chicago, two gunmen opened fire from a van, injuring numerous people. Commenting on this, Trump took shots at Governor JB Pritzker and asked why he hasn’t approached the President for aid. Trump wrote, “Lots of Killing going on in Chicago. 22 people shot, at least 4 Dead. Why isn’t Governor Pritzker calling me for help.”

The President claimed that he would instantly make Chicago safe and continued, “I could make Chicago a safe City in ONE MONTH, in ONE YEAR, it would be one of the safest!!! D.C. went from one of the worst, to one of the safest cities in the U.S. President DJT.”

As of now, Pritzker has not responded to Donald Trump’s comments. Moreover, the aforementioned outlet reported that the Governor has insisted that federal intervention is not needed. The mayor of Chicago, Brandon Johnson, also shared his views on the shooting incident. He went on to assert that he is saddened by the incident. He called the shooting a “horrific act of violence” and stated, ” I am heartbroken by the violence in Princeton Park last night. What should have been a night of celebration and community reflection for Juneteenth was shattered by a horrific act of violence. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their loved ones…”
