A former chef has filed a lawsuit against Kylie Jenner, alleging that an “intense” workload caused her to suffer a miscarriage. The suit claims the unnamed chef was forced to work extended hours and handle high-pressure responsibilities even after notifying Jenner and her management team about her high-risk pregnancy.
Kylie Jenner’s ex-chef makes some shocking claims about her pregnancy
In a complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on June 22, the chef, hired in November 2024 as Jenner’s private chef, worked 11- to 12-hour shifts five days a week, reports Page Six.
The chef alleges that while pregnant, she faced verbal hostility and mistreatment from supervisors, including an incident in December 2024 when she was told to lift and carry heavy food items uphill without assistance, resulting in a medical emergency, according to USA Today.
The chef says she “became dizzy, began choking and gasping for air, and required assistance from security personnel” during the incident, and was later reprimanded for upsetting Jenner. In another instance, during Jenner’s child’s birthday party on Feb. 1, 2025, the chef was allegedly given an “excessive workload” and denied assistance, which caused her to become emotionally overwhelmed. She says that night she experienced “extreme physical exhaustion and heaviness throughout her body” due to the prolonged and intense workload.
The chef claims she suffered severe hemorrhaging the next morning, drove herself to the emergency room, and was told there was no detectable heartbeat and that she had lost her unborn child.
After going back to work, the chef claims she revealed her miscarriage but was wrongly accused of leaving Jenner’s home in “disarray” after the Feb. 1 event. She also claims she suffered another hemorrhage and was hospitalized on Feb. 8, 2025. On March 14, the chef said she was informed she would no longer be assigned to Jenner’s household, with March 31, 2025, marked as her final working day.
Representing the chef, attorney Della Shaker of Shaker Law Group told USA Today on June 25, “For our client, this case is about finding justice after one of the most painful chapters of her life. She looks forward to having the truth come to light through the judicial process.”
Jenner is also facing two additional lawsuits from former housekeepers, including one filed on April 17 by Angelica Hernandez Vasquez, who alleges a “hostile work environment,” and “discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.” The other lawsuit involves Kylie being sued by a housekeeper, Juana Delgado Soto, who has made similar allegations to those raised by Vasquez. Soto alleges that in March 2025, she was not granted leave to grieve her brother’s sudden death, reports Page Six.
