Rihanna and her two-year-old son, Riot Rose, attended A$AP Rocky’s June 27 “Don’t Be Dumb” tour concert at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. In a now viral video from the concert, the “Diamonds” singer could be seen holding her son while the rapper performed on stage.
At one point during his performance, he gave a shoutout to the little one. “Riot Rose, hey son. Hey buddy. Daddy loves you, son,” he said into the mic while being suspended in the air on stage.
Although denim jacket-clad Riot had turquoise noise-cancelling headphones on, he immediately looked up at his father in awe. Rihanna, who was filming the moment, prompted her son to respond to his father. Riot gave a small wave to A$AP and continued to look at the rapper in awe.
Fans gushed over the interaction on social media. User @EdricCassian wrote, “aww, that’s so sweet. it’s always special when parents bring their kids to see their work. glad they’re having a good time.” Another fan, @Vinces_mom, expressed their awe of the security personnel’s reaction, writing, “Security was so tickled by this interaction. It’s the sweetest.”
Meanwhile, @ladidaix commented, “Rocky seems like a sweetheart awww what a cute moment!” User @BigA_quila14 wrote about how surreal it must be to have two famous artists as parents, writing, “Imagine having two Rockstars as your parents.” Further, @barbarassky wrote, “Riot Rose is so adorable.” This was Rihanna’s rare public outing with her son, as the couple mostly keeps their kids out of the spotlight.
