It’s a year of major life changes for former Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy. The reality TV alum and DJ has proposed to his partner, Jordan Meyers, just weeks after announcing they are expecting their first child.
Via Instagram this week, James revealed he proposed to Jordan while on a romantic getaway to Italy’s iconic Lake Como.
“We’re engaged!! I love you, adventures with you forever and ever,” he wrote, alongside a carousel of photos. “Thank you for making me the luckiest guy in the world.”

After sharing the happy news, James’ comment section on Instagram was filled with congratulatory messages from friends and fans alike.
“Congratulations, love birds!!” one follower wrote. “Sending you both a BIG CONGRATULATIONS on your engagement!” commented another.
“Awww congratulations! I am so happy for you … being engaged and [having] babies are the best,” added a third.
Previously speaking to PEOPLE about 23-year-old Jordan’s pregnancy, James said: “We are thrilled to share that Jordan and I are expecting our first child together.”
“We have previously kept our relationship out of the public eye, and this is the first time we’re sharing it publicly,” the 34-year-old added. “We wanted to keep things personal while we were building our relationship together, and we’ve shared this news privately with close friends and family for some time now.”
Although James is about to become a first-time parent, this is not the first time he’s been engaged. Fans of Vanderpump Rules will know he was previously engaged to Rachel Leviss (AKA Raquel). He got down on one knee during an elaborate Coachella-inspired event on the show.
That engagement was in part organized by James and Rachel’s co-star, Tom Sandoval. Ironically, he’s the reason the pair’s engagement ended.
Tom and Rachel were caught having an affair, which sent the Bravoverse into utter shock and ultimately damaged the friendships on Vanderpump Rules beyond repair, resulting in a total reboot of the beloved series.
Following his split from Rachel, James went on to date Ally Lewber. The pair were in a relationship for three years, but it came to a dramatic end in January 2025 when he was arrested for domestic violence.
