As the heat turns up for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, rumoured to be held on July 3 at Madison Square Garden, former couple Lena Dunham and Jack Antonoff may be heading for an uncomfortable meeting at the wedding.
Dunham is a longtime Swift friend, and Antonoff, a chief collaborator for the singer, dated for six years between 2012 and late 2017.

Lena Dunham and Jack Antonoff are risking an awkward run-in as they’re both attending Taylor Swift’s star-studded wedding festivities. Their relationship was marked by a close creative and emotional bond, but it eventually ended as Dunham’s health struggles intensified and the relationship became harder to sustain. In her memoir, Dunham has also described the breakup as complicated and deeply personal, which suggests the relationship mattered a great deal to both of them even after it ended.
Additionally, Dunham admitted that he turned to her middle school boyfriend Nick at the fag end of her relationship with Antonoff even as she was suffering the aftermath of a hysterectomy. Since their breakup, the couple has moved on: Dunham married musician Luis Felber in September 2021 and Antonoff married actress Margaret Qualley in August 2023.
According to footage captured by People, Dunham is seen pulling up to the rehearsal dinner at MSG’s Infosys Theatre in a black SUV, even as photographers snapped Antonoff on the street on his way to the event as well.
According to Page Six, Swift and Kelce are slated to host around 100 guests from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. ET, while more than 1,000 guests are expected for the big wedding on Friday.
The star-studded affair is expected to include high-profile guests such as Selena Gomez, Zoë Kravitz, the Haim sisters, Ed Sheeran, Suki Waterhouse and Gigi Hadid.
