Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have found themselves facing criticism after claims emerged that an ICE contractor attended their wedding. The individual has been identified as Amentum Services Executive Chair Steven J. Demetriou. Amentum Services is listed as the contractor operating ICE’s Camp East Montana detention center in El Paso.
According to GB News, speculation surrounding the guest gained traction after photographs showed Demetriou arriving at the highly secured venue with his wife and son. The outlet further claimed that Kelce shares a close friendship with Reggie King, who was adopted into the Demetriou family.
Neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly addressed the claims. However, the speculation has prompted criticism from some social media users.
One user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “we aren’t talking enough about how taylor swift invited steven j. demetriou to her wedding. the fact that she can get away with having a contractor for the largest ICE facility in the US as one of her guests is insane.”
