Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift Wedding Guests Mocked the 1,000-Person Guest List — Source

A lot of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s reported wedding guests privately admitted that they barely knew the couple. The global pop icon and the NFL star reportedly got married on July 3 at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden. According to multiple reports, approximately 1,000 guests attended the wedding. However, according to Rob Shuter, many attendees were not closely acquainted with the couple, leading some to joke about the guest list.

Sources claim some attendees joked about their limited connection to the couple

Sources told Rob Shuter that several of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding guests joked about having only a limited connection to the couple. The guest list reportedly became a major topic of conversation throughout the event. An entertainment insider told Shuter, “The running joke all night was, ‘How do you know Taylor and Travis?’ The funny part was that a lot of people couldn’t answer. Most weren’t close friends. Many barely knew the couple at all.”

Several guests reportedly drew comparisons to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s 2018 royal wedding, which also featured a star-studded guest list. According to the source, many attendees at that event also had little connection to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Another insider shared, “It had that Harry and Meghan feel. There were real friends there, of course, but there were also lots of famous, important people who had no real connection to Taylor or Travis. The guest list became its own spectacle.”

With approximately 1,000 guests reportedly in attendance, Swift and Kelce were unlikely to spend one-on-one time with everyone. One source claimed, “Most people never even got to say hello to Taylor or Travis. They certainly didn’t have a real conversation, and many don’t even have Taylor’s phone number or email to thank her afterward. That’s what happens when your wedding becomes a celebrity convention.”

Meanwhile, Page Six previously shared that the high-profile couple hosted a rehearsal dinner before the wedding. According to the outlet, around 100 guests attended the event at the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden.
