Tyla Becomes a Wild Cowgirl in Tiny Pristine Knicker Shorts & Body Paint

Tyla turned up the heat at Afro Nation with one of her boldest stage looks yet. The South African hitmaker embraced a playful cowgirl-inspired aesthetic. Tyla paired tiny Pristine shorts, glowing body paint, and statement boots for a high-energy performance that quickly caught fans’ attention. She later teased the look on Instagram with the caption, “New character unlocked”.

Styled by Ltrigg, Tyla built her performance outfit around Pristiine’s ‘Folly Knicker.’ A pair of ultra-short bottoms trimmed with black fringe that swayed with every dance move. Sitting low on her hips, the tiny shorts delivered a cheeky festival-ready vibe while allowing the elaborate styling to take center stage.

On top, the singer layered a white tie-front crop top over a black triangle bikini-style bra. The darker bra cups peeked through the plunging neckline for a striking contrast. The knotted front exposed her toned midriff. Thus making the perfect canvas for the fluorescent body art that transformed the entire outfit.

Neon-green UV paint traced glowing curved lines along both sides of Tyla’s waist. Meanwhile, intricate pink and green swirling motifs covered her thighs, creating a henna-inspired pattern that lit up under the stage lights. Matching fluorescent designs extended across one hand and fingers, tying the entire look together. Makeup artist PaintedbyEsther revealed that it was her first time creating henna-inspired UV body paint, saying she loved how it came to life on stage.

Tyla completed the look with oversized black slouchy boots embellished with silver studs, adding a rugged Western edge to the barely-there ensemble. Her voluminous curls featured subtle electric-blue streaks, while glossy lips and shimmering makeup complemented the glowing body paint. Small silver earrings, stacked bangles, and a statement ring added just enough sparkle without competing with the neon details.

At one point during the performance, the singer also threw on an oversized white feathered wing. Tyla once again proved she knows how to make every performance feel like its own fashion moment.
